As the large stair parts manufacturer—and manufacturer of doors, frames, jambs, hinges, and hardware—headquartered in Suwanee, GA, reacts to and pursues significant expansion and innovation initiatives, the addition of Don Collins and Jimmy Coltharp to the Evermark Vice President tier, creates a powerful sales leadership team to support the company’s strategic goals.
[SUWANEE, GA, July 18, 2022] – Evermark recently announced the addition of Don Collins as VP of Sales – Partner and Jimmy Coltharp as VP of Sales – Stairs. Combined, Don Collins and Jimmy Coltharp represent three quarters of a century in proven sales dominance in the lumber and millwork industries, with specific emphasis on the manufacturer, sales, and distribution of stair parts.
Collins has been engaged in the Lumber and Building Industry for more than four decades. He began his career in outside sales with Lowe’s Companies, moving on to become President and CEO of BSL (the predecessor to Builders First Source—BFS). Throughout his impressive professional history, Don also served as President of two Northern New England building material companies and has been a highly-sought-after consultant in the building materials industry for the past 10 years.
Additionally, Don has an extensive history of recruiting, training, and building a professional sales team. He states, “I am excited to be a part of Evermark’s next growth phase as we continue to create innovative products and produce quality manufactured items for use in building America’s homes.”
Hailing from the Nashville area for the entirety of his youth and his career, Jimmy Coltharp brings even more depth and power to the growing Evermark Sales Team. Prior to joining Evermark, Coltharp worked at Home Depot for 14 years and in progressive sales management roles for another well-known name in millwork, LJ Smith.
Jimmy’s specialty he believes, is building a team centered on—and successfully pursuing—a common goal. He considers this one of the secrets to his millwork sales success and one of the many value-adds he plans to bring to Evermark. Jimmy says he is always proud when a member of his team has success in both personal and professional areas of life. He states, “We are in a small industry and relationships make a difference.”
When asked his thoughts about the addition of Don Collins and Jimmy Coltharp to the Evermark team, CEO George Liu said, “As an employee-owned company [ESOP] we are only as strong as the people we hire, especially when it comes to those in key leadership roles. Don and Jimmy will be an asset to our company in many ways. From serving as leaders for the expanding Evermark sales team, to serving current and future customers with the highest level of support and standards, I am excited to see how we all grow together under their leadership.”
